The Local Government of Purbalingga Brought Out Batik Soedirman to the Public

TIMESINDONESIA, PURBALINGGA – Purbalingga held Soedirman Pattern Batik Design Competition to light up Soedirman Fashion Street.  This event was supported by the local government. Even The Mayor of Purbalingga Dyah Hayuning Pratiwi herself attending the occasion and support the participants.

Soedirman Fashion Street was held at Jalan Lingkar Alun-alun Purbalingga, Central Java on Sunday (28/8/20220). Aside of the batik design competition, the local government also take Design Mode Competition and fashion show competition to the surface.

For your information, the lady who take control of Purbalingga was also the appointed one for Women of the Year 2021 Award of TIMES Indonesia. That night was also the appreciation night from this Indonesian mainstream media for the award she had been eligible for.

Dyah Hayuning Pratiwi was known to be an activist who actively appealed the local community to follow the safety guidelines in order to tackle Covid-19. she has also managed to do some campaign for the economic restoration after the pandemic. And that's why the award was given.

Regarding to Soedirman Fashion Street, this event was initiated by the dekranasada Purbalingga along with Afdega (Purbalingga Fashion Design Association) and all the batik practitioner stand under the local government.

During the occasion, the gave some respect to Soedirman the national hero as well the story where the street name was taken, and made a batik pattern according to his name. "In the future, all the local government official will be required to wear the same Soedirman batik on  Thursday," she said.

The Mayor of Purbalingga Dyah Hayuning Pratiwi also said that the batik will such a tthng to be proud of by the local community. By bringing up 280 sheet of Batik Soedirman to the even this will encourage batik practtioner and local fashion designer to stay on their track. (*)
