TIMESINDONESIA, KEDIRI – The traditional wedding costume has become a trend on the rise lately for wedding event. Lots of couple willing to spend some more money towards their dream wedding. Just like what happened in the wedding industry recently.
In Indonesia, traditional wedding has become a trend lately. Not inly in big cities, this trend spread out to the downtown or country side. What mas it interesting is that the couple will tend to choose some unique traditional costume to match their wedding theme.
"They leaned to those artists who held their wedding in traditional costume, they tend to choose some one traditional costume from another island, not always the traditional costume where they live in," Dessy, a wedding vendor owner said on Monday (15/8/2022).
Some even mix and match the accessories for the wedding. Some just followed the rule of wearing the proper wedding costume. However, as they didn't come from the tribe or the island where the costume came from, they didn’t do the ritual.
Yes, as we all know, every area in the country has their own traditional wedding costume along with their wedding ritual. Some will choose a modern way of wedding without any rituals and just use the traditional costume during their wedding party.
Meanwhile for the make up, the wedding couple tend to choose a flawless make up which was become a trend lately. Most of the party was also conducted intimately and most of the couple choose to invite several people to their wedding.
However, as the pandemic over, some of the starting to leave the intimate wedding and started to invite more people for their wedding. "Last year they will invite only 200-5000 guests for their party, this year, they invited around 1000-1500 guests to their wedding," Dessy ended. (*)
