Simple Tasty and Creamy Mac 'n Cheese Recipe
TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Are you a found of cheese and willing to add this ingredients to all of your food? Well then you could try to make mac ‘n cheese. This dish is made with cheese as one of the base ingredients.
The salty and savory, cheesy as well as creamy taste and nice mushy texture of the macaroni makes this food becomes a favorite for some people. The melted cheese even will make the texture looks more interesting.
So how about making this food yourself at home? Well, little did you know this dish is quite easy and very simple. You just need some ingredients you could find in your house or nearby convenient market. Let's check out the recipe.
- 1 block cheddar cheese
- 200 gr macaroni
- 500 ml milk
- Water (adjustable)
- 5 tbs butter
- Salt (adjustable)
- Ground pepper (adjustable)
- 1 tbs purposive flour
- 1 tbs ground garlic
- Put the water into a pan. Bring it to a boil. Dip the macaroni in, simmered for at least 10 minutes. Add the salt and 2 table spoons of butter in. Mix it evenly.
- Simmer it for another 10 minutes. With a colander, drain the macaroni. Set a side.
- In a fry pan, sautéed the ground garlic with the leftover butter. Add the milk as well the purposive flour at the same time, mix it evenly and simmered until its thickened.
- Once it thickened, add some shredded cheese, pepper, and salt. Add the macaroni, mix it evenly.
- Top it of with some smoked sausage, smoked beef or chicken, or may be bacon if you willing to. And your Mac 'n Cheese is ready to be served.
