TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – In order to celebrate the 7th day after Eid Al-Fitr, the local community used to have what they called as Kupatan. And Ijen Suites Convention & Center doesn't want to left behind. They also make some exclusive dishes to welcome this wonderful day.

Kupatan literally means rice cake day. Kupatan has become a local tradition to celebrate the first week of Eid Al-Fitr in a modest way. What makes it more special is the leaves to wrap to Kupat or rice cake. They used young coconut leaves instead of banana leaves or plastic.

It gives the rice cake a nice color and taste as well fragrant. To make this rice cake you need some time around two hours just to boil the rice into a perfect cake. This is what Ijen Suites offers to their guests.

Ijen suites will bring you kupat with opor (Indonesian savoury white curry), kupat with plecing (sauteed green leaves), and kupat ala Minang. Each of the dishes will be able to be enjoyed for IDR 35 K/set. It's quite a nice price for such a fancy hotel taste.

Though the government has lift up the mask mandate in public, Ijen Suites Malang  still apply a strict health protocol for all of their staff and guests during their time at their restaurant. This was all done for the sake of their custumers safety and comfortable during their dining.
