World Surf League will be Held Soon, Check the Date Here!

TIMESINDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – World Surf League which will be held in Banyuwangi is on its way. This world class event will be held for a week from May 26 to June 4 2022. the championship will take place at Pantai Plengkung or Plengkung Beach which also known as G-Land.

Plengkung beach as one of designated beach for several other beach chosen by World Surf League Championship Tour 2022. The other are those beach in Hawaii, Australia, US, Brazil, South Africa, Portugal, and Tahiti.

The local government will make sure that this event will reach so much attention from the internet and known worldwide. "We thank you to everyone engaged for the event. It's a wonderful teamwork to get the economy condition stand back to their feet especially tourism," Ipuk Festiandini, the Mayor of Banyuwangi said.

World Surf League has been held worldwide since 1976. this event was followed by those best professional surfers from all over the world. some television will relay the competition and broadcast it live for those surfing lovers.

"WSL (World Surf League) is the perfect way to reintroduce Indonesian toursim especially in East Java dan Banyuwangi. This is a prestigious event. It's the grand slam for such an event or the highest tournament for its kind," Ipuk added.

Before, the World Surf League was meant to be held by June 2020. but due to the pandemic, they have to reschedule the event. Meanwhile, Plengkung Beach Banyuwangi will offer 6-8 meters high wave and could reach 2 kilometer long each rolls. This will be a perfect wave to go for such an prestigious event. (*)
