TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTABiji Salak Karamel is a local traditional deserts made of tapioca flour added with palm sugar. It taste like you just found heaven on earth. Once you taste it you will never want to taste another desert.

The dessert was made by Asep Amas, a local community of Cijulang, Pangandaran. The guy has started the business since 2017. He joined the seasonal folks market during Ramadan at Alun-Alun Cijulang or Cijulang central park.

Literally, Asep only made the biji salak in Ramadan. Since the first time she join the business there has been lots of positive comments about the dessert. People wanted to taste the dessert again in the next Ramadan.

"The said my biji salak that sweet ad savory. And they wanted to have it on their table every Ramadan," Asep Amas said on Sunday (10/4/2022).

Asep added some creamy milk for the soup instead of creamy coconut milk. The nice look of biji salak, and the sticky texture along with the sweet taste of the tapioca ball has made the customers longing for the dessert.

A cup of the biji salak will cost you for IDR 10 K. You need to stir it up before enjoying it to get the ultimate taste of this food. "I could spend around 300 cups in a day during Ramadan," Asep ended. (*)
