This Gigantic Putu Ayu could be an Alternative for Your Birthday Cake

TIMESINDONESIA, PONOROGO – No one will say no to the nice tasty taste of Putu Ayu. Its green color and the steamed shredded coconut on top of it has become an ultimate characteristic of this traditional cake. Yet, Mak Fio Ponorogo bring this cake to another level.

Located at Jalan Pramuka 30, Ponorogo, East Java Mak Fio bakery adjust the size of the cake into one huge cake. It's no longer served in a bite size, but more to a huge birthday cake like.

Anik Hariati, the woman behind the gigantic Putu Ayu idea has started this business since 6 years ago. She made the cake in a cup size or around 8 centimeter in diameter. She started the business on her own house. She just move in to the bakery around a month.

Henny Aprika, the manager of Mak Fio Bakery said that the Putu Ayu has the same taste as any other putu ayu you find anywhere. Except, they innovate more on the topping.  "Our product has a good quality of ingredients and taste to fit the customers taste," she said.

Henny also said that they have around 4 toppings for the Putu Ayu. Mak Fio of Ponorogo has steamed shredded coconut, brown sticky rice, jackfruit, and banana with chocolate syrup. The cake could be enjoyed for IDR 4 - 6 K/set.  This will surely be a nice alternative for your birthday cake. (*)
