TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Waterfall has always enchanted our hearts and gives us some nice ambience. From the water to the beauty of scenery around, it has always given some serenity to us. Including the Coban Rondo waterfall of Malang.

Coban Rondo has been well known with its popular legend. Hear said, the name itself is taken a Rondo (widow) who happened to use this waterfall as her hiding place when she was facing some issue back then. Meanwhile, Coban literally means as waterfall in the local language. So the two words combined mean the Widow Waterfall.

The waterfall is 84 meters height. It was surrounding with beautiful scenery. Sometimes you will find some monkeys climbing on the wall next to the waterfall if you were lucky. The management has taken this place in serious way and arrange it into one nice attraction since 2002.

They even added some nice outdoor activities such as zip lining, archery corner, bike riding, and a beautiful labyrinth. These attractions are included on the ticket you purchase at the entrance gate. However you could choose to get the ticket on spot.

"I can spend a day alone in this place playing with the water, it's so quite and a perfect place to find some serenity," Nada, a local visitors said.

Before the pandemic, this place has become quite popular for the tourists, either the domestic or foreign tourist. But during this pandemic there were no much people visiting Coban Rondo Malang due to most of thesocial restrictions happened. But it make the waterfall look even more beautiful.(*)
