Tips for Healthier Fast Foods
TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Fast foods are considered bad for health for their nutritional values. However, this fact doesn’t stop fast food lovers from eating fast foods. Fast foods are usually tasty and appetizing. Is there a healthy way to consume fast foods?
According to Dokter Sehat, there are tips for choosing healthier fast foods to eat.
1. Choose those with a sufficient portion
When eaten as a snack, for example, a medium-sized beef burger can fill up to 20 percent of the average body requirements of Indonesian adults. If you eat them for dinner, about ½ or ¾ portion is already enough to prevent excessive body requirements fulfillment.
2. Prioritize cooking methods with low use of fat
Choose grilled or roasted foods, like roasted mutton on your kebabs, to prevent excessive fat consumption.
3. Choose side dishes and beverages with a low amount of fat and sugar
When purchasing a burger, it usually comes with french fries and sweet beverages. High chance there is an increase in excessive calorie consumption from fat and sugar consumption. To prevent this, you can choose a low-fat mashed potato and beverages with a low amount of sugar, like mineral water.
4. Make your desired fast food
