Kampung Nila, Another Worth to Visit Destination in Probolinggo
TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – The local community of Probolinggo might feel pleased for they have more and more tourist attractions coming in their city. One of them is Kampung Nila or the Tilapia Village.
This destination had just been established in few months earlier before the pandemic strick the country. Right at the end of 2019.
Located at Jalan Anggrek or Jalan Lingkar Utara (JLU) RT07/RW07, Sukabumi, Mayangan, Probolinggo, East Java, this place has become the most popular fishing area for the local community.
Lots of people e has made this place their favorite for spending their leisure time since it was firstly established. They will take their family especially their kids to come and join them during this time.
"It was just a slump area. But then, in 2019, with the help of Kotaku, a local government program supported by the local community, this place has changed into one beautiful place," Luvina Antika Sari, the local community of Kampung Nila said on Saturday (22/5/2021).
Luvina also said that the place was named after the massive number of Tilapia fish pools in the area. Yes, most of the pools around there were used to cultivate Tilapians. However, beside the Tilapia, they also have giurami, milkfish and mullet.
All those fishes become one popular attraction for those who lives fishing especially just to spend their leisure time. To accommodate them, the place was also equipped with some shades, playground, and a nice little praying room right in the middl of Kampung Nila.
