SMA Pradita Dirgantara and Nothern Illinois University Conducting Educate Global Program
TIMESINDONESIA, BOYOLALI – SMA Pradita Dirgantara or Pradita Dirgantara Senior High collaborates with Northern Illinois University (NIU) of Chicago to hold The Educate Global Indonesia Virtual Kick-Off program.
This program was initiated by NIU together with Indonesian Embassy for Wasington DC and The Ministry of Education and Culture.
This program was aimed to raise the quality of senior high school education. This program was begun today (6/3/2021). It was started with online seminar through Zoom.
Some officials from Indonesia such as Dr. Popy Rufaidah and some from the Pradita Dirgantara joined the meeting. Dr. Eric Jones the Director of South East Asian Studies Centre, the dean of NIU and several professors of the university also spotted online on the occasion.
The Deputy Director of Yasarini Foundation, Inong Fadjar Prasetyo hope that this program could be a sustainable program that supports the vision of some senior high school to be one prominent school at international level.
Thus surely followed with a good characters of the students who put the local wisdom and culture as their milestone to face the real world.
"We commits to create the next world leaders. This school has become a magnet which focuses on basic intelligence. And to be one school that acknowledges by the world we meet some relation with foreign universities for it," Inong said.
Inong also said that it was an honor to be able to work with such international level university such as NIU. To her, it was such a big chance to be able to join international community through this program.
In addition, SMA Pradita Nusantara were so lucky because it has become the first school in Indonesia which able to join such prestigious program. Not only the first, but also the only school who granted with such program.
This program will let SMA Pradita Dirgantara and Northern Illinois University (NIU) of Chicago to exchange some of their subject such as Angklung Goes to School from the senior high or the Spaceship Troopers subject of NIU. (*)
