A Lecturer of UIN Malang Said: Teach Our Children with Love

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Triyo Supriyatno, Ph.D, a lecturer at Islamic Study major of UIN Malang said that love is the principle thing we need in teaching our children. As a muslim, this has been stated in Quran he said.

"Muslim has Quran and hadith for their reference. And it taught us to put love on everything we do, especially we give our kids some lesson," Triyo said on Thursday (11/2/2021).

In addition, he also explained that doing everything to your kids with love will give positive impact on its development process. It could stimulate their brain growth, add more self esteem, and stronger psychological bound towards them.

He also suggested that if you would like to talk to your kids or teach them some lesson, you need to do it with love and with a low tone. "Positive words will also encourage them to be a better person," he added.

According to him talking to them with love will soften their heart and make them have better attitude. It's all written in Quran chapter Luqman verse 11, 17, and 18.

"The chapter told about a man named Luqman which teach his kids with love, no more scary parents," Triyo explained.

Last but not least, this lecturer of UIN Malang also encouraged all parents to talk to their kids in low note and full of compassion and love. It will make the children to have better attitude and behavior in the future. (*)
