Yee Shang usually served as an appetizer, followed by a series of Chinese New Year dishes to celebrate the upcoming year. Yee Shang is served uniquely with all of the movements and ingredients are complemented with meanings and prayers. Yee Shang must be served and eaten together with all of the family members.
