TIMESINDONESIA, BANDUNG – After being confirmed positive for Covid-19 last week, Bandung Mayor Oded M Danial has now recovered and tested negative after exposure to coronavirus. The results were based on a re-test swab and did not come out until Thursday (14/1/21) night.
“Alhamdulillah, the last swab was Thursday night, if Mang Oded has tested negative for Covid-19,” said Bandung Mayor of Pendopo, Jalan Dalem Kaum, Bandung City, on Friday (15/1/21).
Oded was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Friday 8. January with the status Person without symptoms (OTG). Then he underwent independent isolation in his official residence.
During 8 days of independent isolation, Oded admitted that he still tried to be calm and did not panic. He also followed the doctor’s recommendations, namely to further improve health protocols, adequate rest, eat regularly, sunbathe and exercise.
“For almost eight days, Mang Oded continued to exercise and sunbathe. While at Mang Oded’s home, you must also wear a mask, wash your hands and keep your distance,” he added.
Because compliance with health protocols is one of the keys to recovering from Covid-19. That is why he is so grateful to Allah SWT and expresses his gratitude, especially to all the inhabitants of the city of Bandung who have never stopped sending prayers for his recovery.
“Wargi Bandung who is beloved, Mang Oded, please ask permission to thank him for the prayers that flowed. If God wills, give strength under independent isolation,” he said.
As a Covid-19 survivor, he hopes that the people of Bandung can care more about and improve their health records. Because this pandemic is not over yet, and the coronavirus can attack anyone.
“Many Oded’s messages to others are to follow health protocols. Avoid leaving the house if there is no urgent need, avoid congestion, get enough sleep, exercise and eat a lot,” he advised.
“For residents of Bandung who may currently have common symptoms and test positive for Covid-19, Mang Oded advised not to panic, be calm and follow the instructions of medical personnel. If God wills, if handled early, will not the symptoms of Covid get worse, “said Oded M Danial. (*)
