TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – An inventor of Egypt, Mahmoud El-Komy invented a sophisticated robot to reduce the intensity of hospital workers having physical contact with Covid-19 patients. This robot was then named Cira-03.

This robot gone for trials at a private hospital in North Cairo on November 18. This sophisticated robot is equipped with the ability to screen patients’ body temperature, and warn them if they don’t wear masks while in the hospital.

Cira can also perform a swab test by holding the patient's chin and extending their arm with cotton swab into the patient's mouth. Amazingly this robot can also take blood samples of the patients.

Echocardiogram or heart rate measurement and X-rays could also be done by Cira-03. This robot will immediately display the results and show it to the patient on a screen attached to his chest.

Unlike the other robots, this robot is designed in such way with human-liked face and body with robotic arms.

"I tried to make the robot seem more human, so that the patient doesn't fear it. So they don't feel like a box is walking in on them," Mahmoud said on Swiss Info.

The look of the robot was meant to build more trust between patients and Cira-03. The patients feel more secure and happy and gave positive response towards this robot of Egypt. (*)
