TIMESINDONESIA, MADIUNNongko Ijo Pine Forest nestled in Kare Village, Madiun in Jawa Timur province, is one of the best choices to cool off and enjoy the revitalizing air from the nature.

The visitors can take a selfie around there with the live background of Mount Kukusan. In addition to the terrific scenery, the refreshing, cool air will make anyone feel relaxed.

This area has many artistic photo spots, such as an array of pine trees and tree houses, which makes this tourism destination become the perfect place for prewedding photoshoot.

“Visitors usually come in a group of family. They usually spend their time here taking selfies and enjoying their leisure time to relieve the stress. However, during this pandemic, we always prioritize the safety and health protocols. Those who do not wear mask are not allowed to enter this area,” the owner of Nongko Ijo, Ferry Yulian Bayu W., told TIMES Indonesia (7/11/2020).

The visitors can enjoy the rows of pine trees in the 3-hectare field. Although the number of the visitors usually reaches up to hundreds, this place does not look crowded at all.

The best thing is that this place is clean. There are many garbage cans provided in this place, as well as the handwashing stations along the footpath.

“We have provided hand washing stations near the ticket counter. We also implement the safety and health protocols, such as requiring our visitors to wear masks, wash their hands, and practice social distancing,” Ferry said.

The managers of this tourism attraction always prioritize the safety and satisfaction of visitors. That’s why, they build around 15 gazebos and food stalls.

“I also have instructed the owners of the food stalls, who are the locals of Kare Village, to sell foods with a relatively affordable price. They do not have to pay for any rental fees, because we only want to help them to be more creative and productive,” said Ferry.

One of the visitors, Yudha Vira Samudra, said that he came here with his three friends because they wanted to enjoy the refreshing air and terrific scenery of this pine forest.

Nongko Ijo Pine Forest in Kare Village, Madiun, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ticket fee costs IDR 5,000 and it is free for children below 5 years old. (*)
