TIMESINDONESIA, CIREBON – It feels incomplete if you go to some place and you didn’t try their food. Those local delicacies will make you think twice that food isn’t merely those things served on your table. Including these sweet treats of Cirebon.

These treats could be easily found at street food vendors. “I follow my parents which also were also doing this business before me. We’ve been doing this for more than 50 years,” Nur, a local hawker of Cirebon said on Sunday (25/10/2020).

Nur will carry lots of treats on her tray. She has lupis, ketan hitam, ketan putih, klepon, cenil, singkong, jagung serut, jongkong, ongol-ongol, and mata roda. Some of them served with tasty sweet palm sugar syrup.

She stays at one corner of Jagasatru conventional market Cirebon at 13.00-21.00 local western times daily. All the treats are very affordable. You could have a set of these delicacies starting from IDR 3 K to IDR 5K.

With its sweet taste this delicacies could be a perfect appetizer before your lunch or dinner especially when you live around Cirebon. “They keep coming and coming. It’s a bless that I have never run out of customers from time to time,” Nur ended. (*)
