TIMESINDONESIA, MAJALENGKA – If normally, Bakso or meatballs in Indonesia served with several dumplings, with thick tasty and savoury broth, in Majalengka they have Rujak Bakso, meatball which serves in slices of fruit and sweet sauce. How does it taste? Well let’s check it out.
Cafe SDV Sukawana, Desa Sukawana, Kecamatan Kertajati, Majalengka, West Java, serve the meatball in distinctively unique way. The café served the meatball combined with rujak and the sauce.
Rujak is a local traditional fruit salad served with sweet spicy sauce of palm sugar and chili. Some people will add ground peanut in it to make the taste kick your tongue in an elegant way.
The meatball will be braised with chicken feet for half an hour in a sweet soup made of palm sugar, ginger and tamarind. After it’s done then the meatballs along with the chicken feet could be put on top of sliced fruits. The sweet spicy sauce could be added to elevate the taste.
Lots of people enchanted with the taste and comeback for more. “This is a perfect dish for those who love rujak and meatball. They can get in a bowl,” Agus, the owner of Café SDV said on Wednesday (14/10/2020).
