TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Ratu Putri Dewi, a young talented girl who has more interest in English managed to put her name on the top chart of The 24th ALSA National English Competition (ALSA E-Comp).
The 24th ALSA National English Competition was held by Asian Law Students Association (ALSA) Local Chapter of Universitas Indonesia or Indonesia University. The competition was held on Oct 9-12.
This even is an annual event which has been held since 1995. More than 700 participants around the country joining the event.
Ratu Putri Dewi prepared herself with the help of two of her teacher through face time. “We change the subject every day from storytelling, speech, spelling bee so she could master them all,” Oscar Yustino one of the mentors said.
The competition was also held virtually. The participants were asked to send their video which then assessed by the board of ALSA.
“This is my first English competition. I was so happy to know that I was appointed to participate in this competition. They all are good and it was quite competitive,” Ratu said.
She also shares her experience during the competition. But above all her achievement won’t be anything without the support of the teachers and her school (SMA Pradipta Dirgantara).
Her competence has made her sit on the throne of The 24th ALSA National English Competition. Her talents and interest in English combined with her smart and critical thought has made her one prominent participant in the competition. (*)
