This is How Grand Mercure Yogyakarta Introduces the Local Cultural Heritage
TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – In order to introduce Batik as Indonesian heritage to the world, Grand Mercure Yogyakarta along with APPMI holds GMY Cultural Series #2 Batik Fashion Show. This event was held at Plazza Open Theater Grand Mercure Yogyakarta, on Sunday (11/10/2020).
Several other parties such as the Local Tourism Board and Atelier Hanabira Creative Flower Arrangement Studio were also supporting the event.
This event was followed by 16 talented designers from Yogyakarta. They brought up their best design on the show which astonished all the audience. All the models walk gracefully and look so elegant with their batik they wearing.
Gee Batik by Sugeng Waskito, Paras Ayu Jogja by Ayu Purhadi, Rumah Batik Jinggar by Vitalia Pamoengkas, Benang Lusi by Lusi Ekawati, DeeJE Batik by Dewi DeeJEI, LZ by Liza Supriyadi, Intan Batik by Zamwarir, and Prasojobyrani are several of designer which follow the event.
Maharani Persada by Essy Masita, Dadang Koesdarto, Yose Art by Ani Seto, Shiroshima Indonesia by Dian Nutri Justisia Shirokadt, Bleemo Batik by Enikna Yustina, Lemospires by Liena Lemospires, Classic by Tedjo Laksono, and Cupumanik by Ryani Utami were also joining the event.
“I really appreciate everyone who involved in this event. We hope this event could introduce the local heritage to the world especially batik,” Ateng Aditya, Executive Assistant Manager Grand Mercure Yogyakarta said.
In addition, Grand Mercure Yogyakarta has planned to have their own space to display the local MSMe products. They will bought their product and put it on display so their guests could see it and they could have it if they like. (*)
