TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Royal foods served on the grandest tables are so much more than just a meal. These foods represent power and passion of the one who eat it. But nowadays it’s just a showcase of what best of British royal family choose. And curry happened to be one Asian dishes that has been elevated to their standard.

Every member of British royal family has their own favorite foods. But some of them are keen on Asian foods. Here are some Asian foods that the royal family likes:

1. Quail Curry

This food is Queen Elizabeth's favorite food. The queen even willing to bring fresh spices from India to have this food served on her table. Including livestock quails which are taken directly from Bollywood.

This curry is made from quail (the tights part) which is cooked for several hours with curry spices such as tomatoes, ghee, curry powder, shallots, garlic, chilies and fresh apples.

After sitting on the stove over medium heat for a few hours, potatoes and quail breast are added and let boiled for a few minutes. The acidity and sourness of apple has made the Queen fall in love more to India.

2. Goat Curry

Goat curry is Prince Charles and Prince Harry's favorite food. It takes a long time to cook because the goat and the seasonings need to be cooked for 8 hours to get the perfect taste, also a moist and tender meat.

Prince Harry, a British royal family has developed a taste for fiery goat curry cooked by Gurkha soldiers during his time in Afghanistan. "It's a shame my Dad's not here - he loves a good curry," he said, as taken from The Express. (*)
