TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – According to the Minister of National Development Planning or National Development Planning Agency (abbreviated Bappenas) Bali as an idyllic southeast Asian island is such a worth to visit place. This island has had a strict health protocol to prevent Covid-19 spread on the island.
This island has been gradually reopened from July 2020 for domestic tourists. And now the local government is trying to reopen this magnificent island for the foreign tourists. The local community support this policy by having Pecalang in every corner on the island.
“As I see this island is safe enough for the tourists. They even have Pecalang that assigned by the local community to make sure all the rules are to be submitted” Suharso said on a virtual meeting on Tuesday (4/8/2020).
For your information Pecalang are a type of local security officers of an administrative village in Bali. They usually are engaged in mundane tasks and during this pandemic they were assigned to help the local community to obey every rule that to meet the health protocol.
Suharso also said that the number of Covid-19 case has decreased for the last few months. With a great surge of visitors either from the domestic and foreign countries Bali has an international level facilities and accommodation for tourists.
“The local community of Bali has done such a good effort and they already know well about this Covid-19. Balinese is such a discipline community that always implement all health protocol and preventive action needed,” he ended. (*)
