TIMESINDONESIA, BONDOWOSO – East Java also has a huge dam as their water reservoir called as Waduk Sampean Baru. This place has also become a place to hang out or spend some leisure time by the local community for its beauty.
Located in Bunotan, Tapen, Bondowoso, East Java this dam has been officially used since 1983. Situated on 9.800-hectare area, the dam is 670 meters length, 4 meters wide, and 26 meters height. This dam is used by the local community as irrigation.
During summer, the dam will have small current flow. You will see the riverbed which filled with hundreds huge rocks which deliberately put on the bottom of the river.

“I have been longing for vacation and visiting good place since the government closed several tourist destinations in the city during the pandemic. And this place gave me some fresh air,” Ari Sincha, a local visitor of Waduk Sampean Baru Bondowoso said on Saturday (18/7/2020). (*)
