1. You’re using the wrong cleanser

It is wrong to think that frequent face-washing can make your skin cleaner. Over-washing your face can lead to skin irritation and excessive sebum. You only need to wash your face twice a day, in the morning and night. If you are staying at home, not wearing any makeup and not sweating a lot, you only need to wash your face with lukewarm water at night.

3. You’re washing your face with hot water

You might often hear that you have to wash your face with hot water to open the pores, then you use cold water to tighten the pores. In fact, pores do not have muscles to open up and tighten. Hot water can make your skin dry and irritated. Use lukewarm water instead of hot water to cleanse your face.

4. You’re over-exfoliating

When you are having skin problems, you will feel the urge to use many skincare products to fight the skin problems. One of the methods to get rid of skin problems is by exfoliating. Exfoliating is necessary to get rid of the dead skin cells. However, you should not over-exfoliating your face. You only need to exfoliate one to three times a week. In fact, over-exfoliating will lead to skin dryness, irritation, inflammation, or even infection.

5. You’re cleansing your face in a hurry

Washing your face in a hurry is not effective in getting rid of the dirt and excessive sebum. To wash your face effectively, you should at least wash your face for two minutes. Try massaging your nose and forehead while washing your face to get rid of the excessive sebum.

6. You’re rubbing your face too hard
