TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTABreakfast has an important role as an energy supply for your body through the day. Besides, breakfast can help your body digest foods and turn them into energy more efficiently, thus it would keep you full for longer. You can also choose a simple and practical menu for your breakfast as a healthy breakfast.

1. CEREAL

Cereal is the ideal choice as a breakfast menu for it is easy to serve and could save more time. Most cereals are already having a high content of vitamins and minerals; thus it is a perfect choice for a breakfast menu. To serve the cereal you can add some milk or several cuts of your favorite fruits.

2. EGG

Studies show that having an egg as breakfast can keep you full for longer with less content of calories. The egg can make you more energetic and keep you from over-eating until lunchtime. 

To serve a fast and practical breakfast you can make scrambled eggs. As additions, you can add various vegetables, such as carrot, corn, minced spinach, or mushrooms into it. You can also add a pair of loaves to make you more full.

3. GREEK YOGHURT

Greek yogurt is made with three times of filtering process to reduce its content of water, which gives a thicker texture compared to the normal yogurt. This yogurt also has twice the content of calcium and protein compared to the normal yogurt to keep you full for longer.

Choose the plain Greek yogurt and add your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruits, almonds, or granola to give a sweet taste and to increase its vitamin, mineral, and fiber content in your breakfast menu.

4. OATMEAL

A bowl of oatmeal porridge has a high content of fiber which could keep you full for longer. Oatmeal is made from the whole wheat which already through the grinding process.

Oatmeal has a plain taste. However, you can add many types of toppings, such as honey, cuts of fresh fruits, yogurt, or any other healthy toppings.

5. BANANA

Banana is a healthy fruit perfect as a healthy breakfast menu for you and your family. Its soft texture and sweet taste make it favored by many.

For a healthy Breakfast, you can eat bananas in several ways. You can eat it directly, made into smoothies, added into the cereal or oatmeal, or any other ways you might prefer. (*)
