This How Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon Look on the First Day of Its Opening

TIMESINDONESIA, CIREBON – Keraton Kesepuhan (Kasepuhan Palace) Cirebon West Java, has been reopened since May, 30 2020. Yet, there hasn't showed a significant increase of surge of visitor since it was firsly opened.

This place has been closed for public for almost 3 months. Sultan Sepuh XIV PRA Arief Natadiningrat, the manager of the Keraton even said that this place has only welcome around 10 visitors in a day since it was firsly opened.

"Most of them coming from local area, this could be because some of the area still having large scale social restrictions" Sultan Sepuh XIV PRA Arief Natadiningrat said on Sunday (31/5/2020).

In addition, Suktan also said that the small number of the visitors was also caused by people's awareness of Covid-19 and unwilling to go out and just better to have a self quarantine at their home instead of visiting a tourist destination.

Beside Keraton Kasepuhan, some other tourist destinations in Cirebon such as Gua Sunyaragi, Museum Pusaka Keraton Kesepuhan, Dalem Agung Pakungwati, and Astana Gunung Jati were also being opened at the same day.

"We applied some Covid-19 protocol standard around the area. And we hope that new normal will bring back the local community to stand on their feet," Sultan Sepuh XIV PRA Arief Natadiningrat, the Sultan of Keraton Kasepuhan, Cirebon, West Java added. (*)
