A Set of Fried Rice for IDR 5 K ala The Westlake Resto Yogyakarta

TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – The Westlake Resto Yogyakarta set another idea to help those people who suffered for Covid-19 and having some financial problem by cutting their fried rice price to the lowest for IDR 5 K per set.

"Its one of our way to survive this hard time. As well to help people to be able to enjoy our food in a very affordable way," The Operational Manager of The Westlake Resto, Widyaningrum SIP MM said on Tuesday (26/5/2020).

This restaurant, as well as another place has had almost zero income for the last two months (March to April 2020). According to Widya, this super affordable fried rice is one of the solution they could find to keep the business stable.

Surprisingly, the community had such a positive response towards the idea. Hundreds of fried rice package could be sold in a day. Temporarily, this program only could be enjoyed by the local community in Yogyakarta.

"We also have another affordable package that could be delivered for free for those who lives not more than 10 kilometers away from the restaurants," she added.

For the corporate social responsibility program, The Westlake Resto Yogyakarta has also help the locals by supporting them with some food which at least help them survive during that day. (*)
