Thousands of People Infected by Covid-19 in Cimahi, The Mayor Said: Its a Hoax

TIMESINDONESIA, BANDUNG – Recently, Insider, an American media online company said that there were thousands people infected by Covid-19 around Pasar Antri Cimahi area, Cimahi, West Java. It also said that there has been lots of people died for it.

Insider said that there are approximately  around 300.000 people exposed by the virus and around 70.000 people died of 650.000 people living around the area.

"Its definitely a hoax. Don't add a fuel to a fire. It makes the local community living in agony," the Mayor of Cimahi Ajay M Priatna said on Wednesday (27/5/2020). 

Still according to the mayor, there are around 76 people exposed by the virus. 21 of them survived and 3 of them died, meanwhile the rest are still taken care on the local hospitals.

The local government has also conducting a swab test towards the local community living around Pasar Antri Cimahi area. And there are only 4 of them has a reactive swabs result. And all of them has been taken to be treated properly on the local hospital.

Meanwhile, the mayor also said that till now, the city still conducting a large scale social restrictions. This restrictions planned to be ended by June, 02 2020.

"We keep telling the local community of Cimahi to put on mask everytime they go outside. And to wash their hand as often as possible. And of course to stay at home if they doesn't have anything important to do, to avoid Covid-19," the Mayor added. (*)
