Its Now Walakiri Beach East Sumba Turn to be Closed Temporarily
TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – After several area in Indonesia closed their tourist destinations, it's now Walakiri Beach turns to be closed temporarily for coronavirus outbreak. No one ever stepped their feet to this beach which located in East Sumba since it was firstly closed.
"Its actually has been closed since the first time the local government appeal all tourist destination to be closed temporarily. Around three weeks ago," Martina, a local community said on Sunday (5/4/2020).
In addition, she also said that all the food and souvenir shop that usually opens also being closed temporarily following the beach closure.
Meanwhile, Gerson a local public figure of Walakiri said he felt concern about the local community that has to stay home without any job and income.
"The fishermen are still allowed to fishing. It's sad to see them just staying at home with no job, but what else can we do, it's all for our safety," Gerson a local public figure of Walakiri Beach East Sumba said.
