TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – The local Tourism Department of Bantul Yogyakarta decided to close one of their most popular touris destination, the Parangtritis beach. This was conducted due to minimize the spread of coronavirus on the area.

Several flyers were distributed on several places to let the people know about the news. This action was taken due to the Mayor of Bantul order to stop any activity that included lots of people in particular.

"We have closed all the local tourist destination temporarily till March 31st 2020," the Secretary of Tourism Department of Bantul, Dra Annihayah said on Wednesday (25/3/2020).

Meanwhile, all the staff of Parangtriris beach used this moment to fix several facilities on the beach si they will be ready to welcome the visitors once the beach reopened for public or when the virus gone.

"They work as they used to it just they have different task, that's all. We also put several people at the entrance to tell the visitor that Parangtritis beach (Yogyakarta) is temporarily being closed," Annihayah added. (*)
