Bromo Still Leading on the Top Chart of Most Wanted Tourist Destination in Probolinggo

TIMESINDONESIA, PROBOLINGGO – Probolinggo has hundreds of tourist destination you could visit. Exploring each of them wouldn't be enough just in 3 days. Lots of people will come and visit this city for its beauty. One of them is Mount Bromo.

According to a data taken from the local Youth, Sport and Tourism Department (Disporaparbud) there are around 1.023.590 tourists visiting this city in 2019.

Around 55.284 of them are coming from foreign countries and the rest are domestic tourists. Bromo becomes the most wanted place visited by the tourist by 169.186 visit in a year.

Meanwhile, in 2018 Probolinggo had welcome around 869.503 visit in a year. It means that there was significant increase of visitors' surge to this city in a year.

"There are three main tourist destinations visited by the tourists. But Bromo still holds the record, followed by the strawberry orchard agro tourism, and the Bentar Beach," the Chief of Tourist Destination of Disporaparbud of Probolinggo, Musa said.

With these significant increase of visitors' surge to Bromo and another tourist destinations in Probolinggo, the local government planned to keep the chart flow and will try to raise the number of visitors to their city by 20% this year.(*)
