TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Healthy foods are essential to maintain your body health. However, there are several healthy foods that can bring harm to your health if they are consumed excessively. What are they?

1. Lab-grown meat

Nowadays, many people become a vegetarian. However, eating only vegetables and fruits every day can be boring for them. Therefore, they choose to eat a different kind of menu, such as lab-grown meat.

The appearance, shape, texture, and taste of lab-grown meat are similar to the real one. However, this lab-grown meat is not naturally processed. There is a possibility that this lab-grown meat has been added some additives that are not good for health.

2. Energy Bar

Energy bar is considered as a healthy food, as it contains whole wheat, nuts, and grains. However, you should pay attention to the ingredients of the energy bar.

Sometimes, the energy bar may contain high calories. Although it is promoted as a healthy food, diet bar or energy bar is a processed food that is not good for our health if it is consumed excessively.

3. Instant cereal

Cereal can make you feel full for longer time and contain high fiber. It is quick-serve yet delicious food.

However, you should not eat too much instant cereal as it contains high level of sugar and natrium.

4. Bottled green tea

Green tea contains antioxidant that can help your body fight free radicals that may cause damage to your body cells. Besides, it also contains caffeine and catechin that can burn body fat.

However, some of the bottled green tea may contain high level of sugar, which can lead to weight gain.

5. Rice milk

Non-dairy milk is popular nowadays, especially rice milk. This type of non-dairy milk is usually made of brown rice with no sugar.

Unfortunately, the nutrition in rice milk, such as protein and calcium, is less than the nutrition found in any other types of milk. Some experts suggest drinking cow milk, almond milk, or soy milk, that are much more nutritious.

6. Sushi

Sushi is well-known as a healthy food. However, it may contain high level of fat and calorie if you consume it with much additional sauces, such as mayonnaise. Besides, fried sushi can be unhealthy. (*)
