Spice Museum of Ternate, the Perfect Place for You to Take Your Family on the Weekned
TIMESINDONESIA, TERNATE – If you would like to learn about the history of how some spice distributed in Indonesia at then, Spice Museum (Museum Rempah) of Ternate could be your alternative to go.
This museum is a perfect place to bring your kids, family or friends on the weekend and find out more about the true story of how Alfred Russel Wallace brought some spices to Indonesia and make Indonesia as the biggest country which exports spices at then.
Located at Benteng Oranje (Orange Fort) this museum is managed directly by the local Tourism Department of Ternate. Lots of people will visit this place especially on the weekend.
"We have had lots of visitors. And lately we have welcome lots of foreign tourist to our museum, such as those from USA, Brirltish, and Germany," The Head of History and Culture Division Culture Deparment of Ternate Rinto Taib said.
Meanwhile Rinto also said that the government planned to add more collections on the museum. They will also add some english narrative explanation about the collection so the foreign tourist would understand about it.
For the Spice Museum (Museum Rempah) Ternate, the local government also planned to add more curator from the local community which know better about the museum or answering all the question from the visitors and preserve all the collections the museum has. (*)
