Badut Temple, a Perfect Place to Know More about the History of Malang

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Badut Temple or Candi Badut is an old temple in Malang which was found in 1921. This temple has attracted so much attention from either domestic or foreign tourist.

This temple has around 17,27 x 14,04 meters in diameters. It is estimated to be 1400 years old since the Kingdom of Kanjuruhan ruled the area.

Not only visited by the tourist, this temple is still actively used by the Hindu community to pray. Some people will just stay and enjoy this place for fun and capture the moment with their camera.

"This place will be crowded in weekend. Lots of people coming either from Malang or another area even from the foreign countries," Jayadi, the caretaker of Badut Temple said.

The management of Badut Temple (Candi Badut) of Malang will charge you for free if you like to visit this place. You will only need to fill the guestbook the management has provided on the entrance gate. (*)
