Local Government of Bondowoso Planned to Grow Cavendish Banana on The Area

TIMESINDONESIA, BONDOWOSO – The Cavendish Banana is planned to be grown in Bondowoso. This was due to the high demand of foreign countries toward this type of banana.

Cavendish bananas were named after William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire. This banana has had so much fans through the world.

For these reason the Mayor of Bondowoso KH Salwa Arifin trying to cultivated the banana tree on his area. The products will be sent to several foreign countries such as Japan.

"There were a huge demand from Japan for the Cavendish. This could be a good chance for us to raise the city revenue as well to reduce the number of unemployment," the Mayor through his secret said.

In addition, the Mayor also said that the local government will support anyone who would like to invest on this business. He also planned to invite another investor for the canning.

"When the production overflowed, so we couldn't lost any revenue from it," the Mayor added responding to the Cavendish Banana which planned to be cultivated in Bondowoso. (*)
