Homepod Given by Indonesian Ministry of Tourism to Gubugklakah Village in Malang

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – The Ministry of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar RI) gave Homepod to boost the development and promotion of Gubugklakah Village in Poncokusumo sub-district, Malang.

It was given by the Deputy Assistant of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Widayanti Bandia to the Head of Department of Tourism and Culture in Malang, Dr Made Arya Wedhantara, SH, MSi, in the rest area of Gubugklakah Village on Wednesday (16/10/2019).

Dr Made Arya Wedanthara, SH, MSi, said that Indonesian Ministry of Tourism has several criteria required to get the Homepod.

 “The area should belong to the Regional Government and should be located in the area of tourism village. Later on, the Homepod will be given to Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) in this village,” said Made to TIMES Indonesia.

Homepod will be managed by the Tourism Awareness Group in Desa Wisata Gubugklakah or DWG.

 “This Homepod is given as an effort to promote the tourism in Gubugklakah Village,” said Made.

He expected that the Tourism Awareness Group can use the Homepod given by Indonesian Ministry of Tourism.

 “I expect that this Homepod could be a good motivation to the Tourism Awareness Group to develop it. It will be better if they can make more Homepod,” he said.

He expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism that has trusted Gubugklakah Village to get the Homepod, which is also known as Rumah Joglo in Indonesia.

For the information, there are other facilities in the rest area of Gubugklakah Village, such as selfie spots, gazebo, and main stage to support the tourism in this village. (*)
