TIMESINDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – The Festival Gandrung Sewu took so much attention from the domestic and foreign tourists. This Festival which was held Marina Boom Beach, Banyuwangi, on Saturday (12/10/2019) was followed by around 1.300 gandrung dancers.

The exotic move of the dancers and the harmonious music mesmerize all the aidienve of the event. Their beautiful costumes make the show event more wonderful.

"This is not just a dance, it's merely our effort to preserve the local culture of Banyuwangi," The Mayor of Banyuwangi Abdullah Azwar Anas said on Sunday (13/10/2019).

Still according to him, this event was also to aimed to increase the city's rate of economic growth. The tourism sector was considered as the best venue to for the local economic growth.

Meanwhile, the event which has been held for the third time, has become an awaited moments for the domestic and foreign tourists. On the occasion, the dance was performed beautifully for 1,5 hours on the beach.

"This is so amazing, the beach filled with dancers. I am so lucky to be able to watch the event," Tessa, a Belgian tourist said while watching the Festival Gandrung Sewu Banyuwangi. (*)
