The Festival Ngopi Sepuluh Ewu of Banyuwangi, How Did It Look?

TIMESINDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – Today might be the best day for coffee lovers since Banyuwangi held the Festival Ngopi Sepuluh Ewu. This event is held in order to keep their trademark as the Republic of Coffee as well to introduce their coffee to the world.

The festival which was held today, Saturday (12/10/2019) was held along the main road of the Kemiren Cultural Village, Glagah, Banyuwangi. The local society's yard was decored as if it were a living room to welcome all the visitors.

The local government also provided the visitors with 10.000 cups of free coffee for all the visitors in one condition, if it was a man then he should wear Banyuwangi headdress, and if it was a girl then the girl should wear a black shirt and a scarf.

"The headdress and black shirt and also scarf was intended to conserve the local culture of Banyuwangi," The Head of Cultural and Tourism Department of Banyuwangi, MY Bramuda said.

Beside the 10.000 cups of free coffee the local government of Banyuwangi also presented some local snack on the Festival Ngopi Sepuluh Ewu Banyuwangi such as rengginang, keripik gadung, ketan, pisang rebus, serabi, lanun, lopis and kelemben.(*)
