MI Darul Ulum Took Waste for the School Fee

TIMESINDONESIA, BATU – There is a weird views where some students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIDarul Ulum which is located at Jalan Lahor, Pesanggrahan, Batu, East Java will brought some waste to their school. This is due to the school allowed their students to pay their school fee by exchange of the waste.

"This program will need the students to br ik ng some waste especially plastic from their home every on Wednesday and Saturday. This will make them free from school fee which is IDR 5 K per month," Ulul Azmi, the headmaster of MI Darul Ulum said.

Still according to him, this program was meant to educate the students as well as their parents on how to Recycled and reused the waste starting from themselves.

This program is not quiet easy to run since not all the parents understand the important of this program. There are around 20 percent of parents that has not yet followed the school instruction thought this program has been socialized to them before.

The committee was hope to keep socializing the program in order to make this program succeed. In addition the wate theiy gathered at the MI Darul Ulum Batu will be collected and sold to the Bank Sampah Mandiri to be recycled and reused. (*)
