Let's Check Sport Tourism in Banyuwangi on the Blue Fire Ijen Challenge 2019

TIMESINDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – Banyuwangi is committed to raise their tourism sectors. This time they brought up the sport tourism to attract more visitors to their city through the Banyuwangi Blue Fire Ijen Challenge 2019.

There were around 83 athletes participated on the event. Those athletes took around 92 km distance on the Boom Beach shore of the Ijen Mountain.

"The beach was choosen as well to give the athletes some beautiful fresh scenery and to introduce the beach itself to the visitors," tge Vice Mayor of Banyuwangi, Yusuf Widyatmoko said on Saturday (13/7/2019).

Some athletes that came out of Banyuwangi area like Jakarta, Surabay, Solo, Malang and several other area spotted enjoying the scenery while pedalling their bike.

The beautiful harbor and a calm wave also the colonial buildings which lining up on the shore make the beach look more beautiful. They will also be pampered with the beauty of Ijen Mountain along their trails.

Beside giving them some beautiful scenery, Banyuwangi also intended to raise the athletes' health through the sport tourism. In addition, the multiplier effect of Banyuwangi Blue Fire Ijen Challenge 2019 was also felt by the local community who open some street food stalls around it. (*)
