TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Like any other satay, Sate Gebug or Satay Gebug will also be served in a stick and grilled before it served. This satay has been introduced since the colonialism era as one of phenomenal dish from Malang as on 1920.

Located at Jl. Basuki Rachmat, Klojen, right next to McDonald outlet in Kayutangan Malang, you could get the satay by 08.00 AM to 04.30 PM daily except on Friday. This restaurant is off on Friday.

"Sate Gebug is a dish originally came from Solo, and there it's called as sate buntel. My great grandfather was live in Solo, and when he moved in to Malng he brought the sate recipe along with him and mix it with Malangan recipe," Achmad Kabir, the owner of sate gebug sid.

When sate buntel solo beef is minced, satay gebug a lil bit different treatment to get the beef moist after burnt. The beef was smacked with special stick before it was burned.

You could get a set of sate gebug or satay gebug Malang with only IDR 25000 to IDR 30000. You could also get rawon, soto, mendol, and beef soup as another dishes at this outlet.(*)
