TIMESINDONESIA, YOGYAKARTA – Sambal belut or fried spicy eel is a local good which served fried eel with super hot spicy ingredient in it. Pak Sabar, the owner of the Sambal Belut outlet at Bantul has change the eel taste from yucky yo yummy.

The outlet which is located at Jalan Imogiri Barat Km 6 Kabupaten Bantul, Yogyakarta had been visited by hundred of people in each day. This outlet will be open at 10.00 AM and be closed during 22.00 PM daily.

The sambal was only made traditionally. The fried eel will be crushed in to the chili sauce which has been mix with some garlic and salt before. Bassils and cucumbers will be the companion to eat this sambal.

The customer could accustom their order to according the number of people who came with them. They usually will bought around 1kg of eel to fried for 5 people. There are also rica- rica belut (another kind of spicy sauce) and oseng-oseng belut (sauteed eel).
