TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Garlic has been known as a source of good house remedy for any disease. In fact, some study said that eating garlicwill give lots of health benefits. One of the regular disease that you could fight with garlic is the cold.

Cold usually preceded with sneezing, runny nose, and shore throat. According to Hello Sehat garlic contain allicin with sulfur in it, it will give garlic its distinctive smell and taste.

These compounds have been shown to boost the disease-fighting response of some types of white blood cells in the body when they encounter viruses, such as the viruses that cause the common cold or flu.

Meanwhile, garlic also contain lots of vitamin C beside the allicin. As we know that vitamin C will help to boost our imune system which will protect us from the viruses.

So how to apply it? Here are a few ways to maximize the health benefits of garlic.

1. Crush or slice all your garlic before you eat it. This increases the allicin content.

2. Before you cook with your crushed garlic, let it stand for 10 minutes.
