Medical Students of UIN Malang Strengthen Scientific Writing Skill

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – The commitment of Medical Study Program in UIN Malang to strengthen scientific writing skill needs to be appreciated. The science club in this study program held the second workshop of scientific writing after the first one in the last December.

This workshop was held in Minihall Rumah Singgah Kampus 2, UIN Malang, on Saturday (17/3/2019).

The Head of Medical Students Association of UIN Malang, Dzulfikri Aulia, opened the event.

“This kind of scientific workshop should be held more frequently. This event is aimed to improve the students’ scientific writing skill,” he said.

This second scientific workshop discussed about the introduction of data in the previous workshop, presented by Dr. Lailia Nur Rahma M.biomed, one of the lecturers in Medical Faculty in UIN Malang.

The next material was presented by Dr. Ermin Rahmawati M.biomed as the second presenter as well as the coach of the science club. She explained the method to collect the data by using a program called SPSS.

There was also a simulation session in this workshop for the participants to put the theories into practice. The two presenters were the lecturers of Medical Faculty in UIN Malang who had published many scientific journals.

Kemal Jamaluddin, the Head of the Committee, expressed his gratefulness to all committee who had participated in the event. He hoped that all of the participants could get many benefits from this scientific workshop, especially in helping them write their final projects and thesis.

“I hope this kind of workshop could motivate the students to write scientific papers. Besides, I also hope that the Medical students of UIN Malang could increase their productivity in writing quality scientific writings as the dedication for the study program, the university, and Indonesia,” said Khilmi Ainun, the Head of the club in his opening speech.
