The Ministry of Tourism RI Boosted 'Negeri di Atas Awan' Tourism Sector

TIMESINDONESIA, PROBOLINGGO – The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar RI) sees the tourism sector at Negeri di Atas Awan (the country on the cloud) on Wonokerso Village, Sumber Sub-District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, is potentially to develop. For this reason, Kemenpar RI has prepared the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in 2019 for IDR 4.7 billion to boost it as a worth visiting tourism area.

The allocation of funds will distribute to build motorbike trails on the path called Puncak Pundak Lembu or P-30 that is worth IDR 1.8 billion. Then it is to construct the culinary and souvenir kiosk at IDR. 1.15 billion, the construction of a hiker's shelter is worth IDR. 855 million, the construction of a toilet that is worth IDR. 750 million, parking area at IDR. 190 million and the direction's route board that is worth IDR. 45 million.

The planning was conveyed by the Acting (Plt) the Head of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Statistics and Coding of Probolinggo Regency, Tutug Edi Utomo. "The construction of the P-30 peak is planned to implement in 2019 through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) of Kemenpar RI," he said.

On the other hand, the Head of the Tourism Destination Affairs at the Youth, Sports, Tourism and Culture Office (Disporaparbud) of Probolinggo Regency, Musa said, at the P-30 area of 2 hectares, a gazebo with red brick construction will create concepted of resembling traditional buildings.

At the peak of the P-30, visitors seemed to be on the cloud. They can enjoy the panorama of Mount Bromo along with its sand ocean caldera which is shrouded in clouds from different sides, or observing the residents' settlements from a height covered in clouds.

To get this peak, visitors can choose two paths. First, the visitors can pass through Ledok ombo Village with a steep uphill road. Secondly, passing through Wonokerso Village.

Even though it didn't go through a sharp incline, this second route is further than the first one. From the Wonokerso Village office, P-30 is about 3 kilometers away with an exciting route.

The route from Wonokerso to Negeri di atas Awan or P-30, will be built by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism with DAK of the budget years 2019. It will enrich tourism sectors in Probolinggo Regency with the Endless Probolinggo tagline. (*)
