Malang Local Government Made Some Way Out Regarding to the Traffic Issues

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Malang local government will soon regulating a new rule regarding the traffic issues at Jalan Bandung, Malang.

The policies icluding dividing the road in to several time zone. At 06.00 am to 08.00 am the road will only be used for a drop zone for those people who drive their kids to school and no parking allowed. There then after 08.30 am cars will be allowed to park around the area with 30 degrees angle.

“No motorcycle allowed to park along the road, all of them should be put in the school parking lot,” the Malang City Mayor Sutiaji said.

This regulation will be conducted on the next Monday (21/1/2019) and will be given a month of probation. Sutiaji also said that during the probation the government will cooperate with The Departement of Transportation of Malang to do some evaluation upon it. 

“We do hope that both these agreements or way out could decrease the number of traffic jam happened around Jalan Bandung area,” he said.

Known as the educational spots, Jalan Bandung mainly has four schools built around this area, which are TK Restu Bustanul Athfal, MIN 1 Malang, MTsn 1 Malang, and MAN 2 Malang. These area becomes so crowded during rush hours especially when the times of dropping and picking the kids to or from school comes. So in order to solve the traffic issue, Malang Local Government regulating some new rules to increase the serving quality to the Malang society. (*)
