CVR Lion Air JT610 Has Been Found
TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – The Navy's Hydrographic and Oceanographic Center (Pushidrosal), which was partnered by the NTSC (National Transportation Safety Committee), found the Cockpit Voice Recorder or CVR Lion Air JT610 which crashed in Tanjung Karawang, West Java, October 29, 2018.
CVR was found at the coordinate position 05 48 46.503 S - 107 07 36,728 T by KRI Spica-934 in Tanjung Kerawang waters on Monday (14/01/2019).

After knowing the position, the Diving Team dives according to the coordinates. The team consisted of Dislambair Koarmada I, which amounted to 18 people complete with Scuba equipment and 3 people from Kopaska of the Indonesian Navy.
"At 8:40 a.m., a diver whose name is Serda Ttg Satria Margono has succeeded in finding the intended CVR," said Head of Rear Admiral Pushidrosal TNI Harjo Susmoro, in a written statement on Monday (14/1/2019).
He said, previously his party deployed KRI Spica-934 which was dispatched from the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) Pier 2, Tanjung Priok Port, on Tuesday (08/01/2019).
His further searching, carried out 5 x 5 meters wide at the point where CVR was estimated, it was 50 meters away at the location of the Flight Data Recorder (FDR). Exactly six days, the CVR of the Lion Air JT610 was found.
For information, Lion Air JT610 aircraft is known to carry 178 adult passengers, 1 child and 2 babies and seven crews of the plane. All of them died in that event. (*)
