TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – The Arabic Language Study Program (PBA) from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training celebrated the International Arabic Day. It was slightly different from the previous years, as this event was held in Halaqoh Ma’had Al Jamiah UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang, on Friday (7/12/2018).

This lively event was not only attended by the students and lecturers, but there were also the representatives from Egypt.

The students of 2017 and 2018 batch, Qotrunnada and Za Fatan, became the committees in this event. They were very enthusiastic in celebrating the International Arab Day.

“We were very grateful as the event was running successfully. The Halaqoh was crowded with students of PBA with various Arabic trinkets, as we brought the concept of the real Arabic carnival,” explained Qotrunnada.

The International Arabic Day celebration at UIN Malang was in form of language carnival.

The students of PBA walked around UIN Malang by giving speech in Arabic.

Although it was raining, the participants of International Arabic Day celebration and Arabic Language Carnival were still enthusiastic. “This is because they are really into the language of Al-Quran that cannot be replaced with anything,” said Za Fatan.

From this event, it is expected that the students of PBA from the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at UIN Malang could implement Arabic language in their daily life, and they could use Arabic language communicatively in the major events affiliated with Arabic language. (*)
