TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – The distended stomach is not only caused by eating too much. Some foods that are often consumed can actually cause a distended stomach. If you want to have a flat stomach, avoid foods that can trigger it. Reported from Cosmopolitan, here are some foods causing distended stomach, what are they?

1. French fries

French fries or fried potatoes are fried foods that will absorb saturated fat in the body. So, you will easily feel hungry if you eat french fries and your stomach will become full and look distended.

2. Processed Grains

It sounds of grain is a type of healthy food to consume. But you might still misinterpret it. Refined grains, such as white rice and flour, actually trigger weight to rise (as a result, the stomach also becomes distended).

3. Processed meat

The same as processed grains, anything that has been processed will definitely have some lost properties. Processed meats such as sausages, smoke beef, and ham can increase cholesterol and blood pressure quickly. It doesn't make distended only, but also it isn't healthy for the body.

4. Ice Cream

Ice cream is indeed refreshing, but don't forget that this dessert also has quite a lot of sugar and 150-300 calories. Thus, the fat will accumulate, one of them is in the stomach area.

5. Mayonaise

It is such a complementary food. However, mayonnaise contains 80 percent of fat which can trigger the stomach to become distended.

6. Spicy food

Spicy food turns out to stimulate the release of stomach acid in the stomach, You can find the kinds of spicy food at food with chili seasoning, pepper, nutmeg, and cloves. This release of stomach acid will cause irritation which can cause swelling of the stomach and make the stomach become distended.
