TIMESINDONESIA, BATAM – A vocalist in the shalawat group in Batam, Fifi Suhartini, suddenly felt weak when reciting Shalawat at the event of Shalawat competition between Mosques in Sagulung sub-district, in Darul Gufron Mosque, Sagulung, Batam, Tuesday morning (20/11/2018). Fifi passed away during her performance with her teammates.
The event was held to commemorate the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.
When singing Shalawat, this 46 years old woman suddenly went limp. Her body collapsed to the left while she was still holding the microphone at around 10:30 a.m
Knowing Fifi was weak, her teammates and committee immediately took action. "Mrs. Fifi, was like losing her energy, we immediately took her to the hospital," said the committee quoted by TIMES Indonesia (timesindonesia.co.id) from KBAswaja.
Fifi was rushed to the hospital. But this woman breathed her last breath at around 12:30.
There were 11 groups in the Shalawat competition. The group led by Fifi performed in the 4th serial number. "She is already accustomed to lead Shalawat groups and also being its vocalist," said Umar, one of the committee.
The committee that had recorded this group performance through the video documented the moments when Fifi was weak while singing. The video then becomes a conversation in the virtual world.
Fifi Suhartini, the 46 years old vocalist, she got much prayers from people when her video becoming viral. Fifi is considered Husnul Khotimah because she died while reciting Shalawat. (*)
